Southam setback for Stimson

Barnet have been dealt another injury blow ahead of their Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Southend. Midfielder Glen Southam was caught by a stray elbow during Saturday's win over Hereford and needs an operation and plastic surgery which will keep him on the sidelines. Rossi Jarvis replaced Southam at the weekend and will be in line for a start. The Bees will also hand a late fitness test to striker Steve Kabba who needed treatment on an ankle knock after Saturday's clash. Boss Mark Stimson has already lost centre-halves Darren Dennehy (foot) and Daniel Leach (ankle) to long-term injuries this season. New striker Izale McLeod is still unavailable as he recovers from knee surgery.
