Positive signs for Bees

Barnet boss Mark Stimson insists his side can take plenty of positives from their Carling Cup defeat at Swansea. The League Two club were beaten 3-0 in south Wales but Stimson was full of praise for the way his team performed. "We can take a lot from this game. We don't like losing football matches though, even if I thought the scoreline was a little harsh on us," said Stimson. "We created plenty of chances in the first half but you have to take them when they arrive against a Championship side. You get punished otherwise so it's a lesson to us. "Swansea are a good passing team, one of the strongest teams in their league and we had to dig in at times and put in a real shift. But we held our own and we can take plenty of positives from this. There was enough out there to please me. "We could have done better with their goals. That's something we have to learn and fast if you are to take that into the league. It's a learning curve for us and we are work in progress."
