Former Bees' boss takes over for last two games of the season. Barnet have made Paul Fairclough, the caretaker manager for the last two, crucial League Two matches this season following the termination of Ian Hendon's contract. Barnet's 1-0 defeat last night at Accrington has brought the threat of relegation to the Conference one step closer and Saturday's match at Grimsby has taken on great importance. A draw or win at Blundell Park win mean safety for the Bees. a defeat will mean that everthing will go to the last match on 8th May when the Bees are at home to Rochdale and Grimsby are away at Burton Albion. Fairclough took Barnet back to league football in 2005 when they won the Conference but he resigned after a poor run of results at the end of 2008. He has since taken control over affairs at the Hive and the running of the youth team. An appreciation of Ian Hendon will follow.
