No luck for Holmes

Barnet striker Ricky Holmes will miss the rest of the season after breaking the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot. The 23-year-old, who had made 16 starts this campaign scoring twice since his move from Blue Square South side Chelmsford City in the summer, picked up the injury in training which caused him to miss the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury at the weekend. Barnet temporary manager Paul Fairclough told the club's official website: "The injury occurred in training during the warm-up. There was not a challenge involved or any obstacles on the floor. It is very unfortunate. Ricky was just moving sideways when his foot just snapped. "Looking at the injury on x-ray the gap is such that you are inclined to think that you could use polyfilla to fix it."
