Notts County have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Neal Bishop from fellow League Two side Barnet. The Bees captain, 27, is expected at Meadow Lane to complete the deal before the end of the week, bringing to an end his two seasons at Barnet. Notts manager Ian McParland has also agreed to sign Ricky Ravenhill from Darlington, and believes the pair will work well together in midfield. He said: "I couldn't be more pleased. He has a real presence about him." McParland continued: "He's a six-footer who wins headers in both boxes, is a good tackler and makes 'easy' passes. If we need him to go forward he can, and he is just as adept in the holding role. Despite announcing two signings in as many days, McParland knows there is still plenty of work to be done. "The top priority now is to find the players who will get goals for us on a regular basis next season and once we have done that, we will see what money we have left in the budget," he said.
