Lockwood shines in front of Hendon
Lockwood, 32, recently had a 12-game stint on loan at left-back for the Bees, who are on a six-game unbeaten run.
After watching Lockwood star in Colchester's 3-1 win over Stevenage, Hendon told the club's official website: "He was the best player on view."
Hendon will continue his search for talent by watching Peterborough reserves take on their Ipswich counterparts and Dagenham and Redbridge's League Two clash with leaders Brentford.
He also plans to watch some trialists in a behind-closed-doors match on Wednesday.
