Kovacs strike enough to sink Bees

Barnet looked the more dangerous team in the early stages and veteran Paul Furlong created a chance for himself in the 17th minute only to shoot wide. Albert Adomah then burst into the Lincoln box but was denied by a brave save from keeper Rob Burch, who again saved Lincoln on the half-hour when he kept out a goal-bound shot from Yannick Bolasie. Mark Hughes and the 40-year-old Furlong also went close for the Bees in a first-half dominated by the visitors. Lincoln's first clear-cut chance came seconds before the break when Jamie Clarke set up Chris Fagan but the new signing failed to connect. But City broke the deadlock in the 59th minute when a long free kick from Stefan Oakes was headed against the post by Kovacs but the ball rebounded for the big defender to fire his shot into the bottom corner of the net.
