The 37-year-old assumed control of the Bees in December following the resignation of Paul Fairclough and helped steer them out of danger at the foot of League Two. As a result, the former club captain was awarded a new two-year deal in April, and Kleanthous is looking forward to what lies ahead at Underhill. "Ian Hendon has done a great job for us," he said. "Ian was our captain and he went from being a captain to be a coach. It was always intended that he would take over from Paul Fairclough. "Paul retired a year earlier than we would like and because we were having a difficult season, some of the fans were getting a little vociferous and we didn't want a situation where we had a problem, so we found a solution that worked for everyone. "It gave Ian an earlier opportunity so everybody is behind him and supporting him. I'm looking forward to next season."
