Barnet have handed assistant manager Ian Hendon a new improved two-year contract.
The 37-year-old has spent the last 12 months as a coach at Underhill after hanging up his playing boots at the end of the 2006-07 season.
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted with the deal - Barnet has been such a big part of my life for the past five years.
"It's been an eye opener for me. I'm looking to help Paul (Fairclough) continue the improvement the team has show getting back into the league.
"Next season the aim is for a play-off place at least."
