Hendon remains upbeat after draw

Ismail Yakubu had given the Bees a deserved lead in the first half but Danny Hall's first goal for Chesterfield ensured the visitors were forced to settle for a point. Even so, Hendon was able to reflect on another encouraging display which followed their 4-1 victory over promotion-hopefuls Bradford. He said: "On the back of last week's win, we've come here and put in a decent, solid display away from home. I am very happy with a point here, I've seen Chesterfield a couple of times and they played very well against Exeter at home when they made a good side look average. "Up until half-time we did not really look in any danger at all but on the balance of play I would say a draw was a fair result. "It's a good point for us and I'm pleased for the boys because they have worked their socks off again. We have a good squad of players at the club now and we have got experience in the right areas."
