Striker Paul Furlong was in fine form, scoring the opening goal and also winning the penalty which John O'Flynn converted in the second half. Hendon was quick to praise the 40-year old's performance, along with fellow veteran Gary Breen. "We had the best 11 men out there - it's been the best performance since I've been here as manager," said Hendon. "Paul and Gary were immense for us. Paul had a very good all-round performance - he's a true striker. He's been brilliant for us and he's a credit to the game. "He and Gary live like professionals and it rubs off on the young players and you can see that on the pitch. "I'm not too sure if Gary or Paul will be playing next season - we'll have to sit down with them but I'm sure these younger players here have learned so much already and we'll take that forward."
