Grazioli handed Bees reins

Former Barnet striker Giuliano Grazioli has been named the club's caretaker manager in the wake of Martin Allen's shock departure. Grazioli was brought in by Allen as assistant manager and will now take the reins after the 45-year-old quit to join Notts County. Allen telephoned Bees chairman Tony Kleanthous on Sunday night and held talks into the early hours, but he could not be talked round and broke the news to the players on Monday morning. Barnet had taken seven points from nine since Allen took over last month, but he claimed he was leaving for "an opportunity he could not resist". Grazioli, 36, looks set to be in charge when the Bees travel to Bury on Saturday.
