Kris Boyd will return to the Rangers squad for the Active Nation Scottish Cup clash at St Mirren. Manager Walter Smith revealed the striker had made a smooth return to training following a hernia operation. "I've put him in the squad because he has shown no ill effects from training this week," Smith said. "Looking at the week ahead, we also have two SPL games coming up, so we will have to work out what's best for him." Boyd last played in the 3-3 fourth-round draw against Hamilton at New Douglas Park on January 10. After their Paisley clash, Rangers face Motherwell at Fir Park on Wednesday followed by a home game against Hibernian next Sunday.
