Bees seal Birchall deal

Barnet have clinched the permanent signing of striker Adam Birchall from Mansfield Town, following his successful loan spell with the Bees.

The 22-year-old has netted three goals in eight appearances for the Bees and is happy to have ended his stint with the Stags, who he joined in the summer of 2005.

Birchall told his new club's official website: "I have really enjoyed my loan spell and hopefully I can keep learning and keep improving.

"I had a spell at Mansfield where I didn't play for a long time. During my loan spell at Barnet I have really enjoyed the atmosphere, the fans and, of course, scoring goals."

Wales Under-21 international Birchall started his career as a trainee with Arsenal and has also feature for Wycombe Wanderers on loan.
