Bees make deadline swoop
02 Feb 2009 - 11:36:27
Relegation-threatened Barnet have snapped up two new players after deciding to end Tommy Black's short stay at Underhill.
The Bees have signed Northern Ireland international midfielder Mark Hughes from Chester City until the end of the season and Colchester United left-back Matt Lockwood on a month's loan.
Twenty-five-year-old Hughes has made 76 first-team appearances for City and has been a regular starter for Mark Wright's side this term.
Lockwood began his career at QPR before going on to star for Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient and Nottingham Forest.
