Bees calm money fears

Barnet have moved quickly to dismiss reports suggesting the club is in dire financial straits.
Despite winning promotion from the Conference at the end of the 2004-05 campaign, the Bees continue to be one of the worst supported sides in the Football League, but PR Consultant Dennis Signy insists the club is well run and is in no financial difficulties.
"To refer to fans fretting over financial problems when the club is spending a lot of money trying to better matters at Underhill by achieving Football League criteria doesn't add up," Signy said when asked about a report on the club in the London Evening Standard.
"We have no evidence that supporters are worried about the club's finances. They've spent the close season urging the chairman and the manager to sign new players."
