Barnet manager Paul Fairclough was far from disheartened after seeing his side lose 2-0 at Darlington.
Fairclough felt the Bees deserved far more from their trip north and is not too concerned, despite a run of eight league games without a win.
He said: "We controlled the game in the first half and should have been two goals up at the break.
"The first half was terrific and we weren't troubled at all, but we were caught out by a sucker punch in the second half.
"We were caught out going for a win and we found ourselves a bit short at the back. Then we conceded an unfortunate own goal and suddenly the match was gone.
"This can be a cruel game."
