Bees contemplate Allen action

Barnet could take action against Notts County after manager Martin Allen quit to take over at Meadow Lane. Allen has become the Magpies' eighth manager in 18 months having left his role at Underhill after just 19 days in charge. Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous refused to criticise the 45-year-old, who was only on a contract until the end of the season, but was unhappy with County's actions. "Martin felt he could keep Notts County in League One and that would offer him the opportunity to challenge for Championship football next season," he said. "This is something I obviously could not match but I am disappointed by Notts County's behaviour in this regard, which is in contravention of football regulations, and we will seek advice as how best to deal with that."
