Basey set for bow

Grant Basey is set to make his Barnet debut when fellow strugglers Hereford visit Underhill. The former Charlton defender, who joined Barnet as a free agent earlier this week, was an unused substitute at Wycombe on Tuesday night. But with the Bees leaking more goals in a 4-2 defeat, Basey is likely to get the nod either at centre-half or left-back. Basey was brought in as cover for long-term casualties Darren Dennehy (foot) and Daniel Leach (ankle), both of whom could be out until the new year. Boss Mark Stimson has also completed the signing of former MK Dons and Charlton striker Izale McLeod. But the ex-England Under-21 international will not be available for a few weeks after recent knee surgery.
