Gash boost for Bees' home opener

Michael Gash is expected to be fit for Barnet's first home game back in the Football League against Wycombe.

Gash needed lengthy treatment on a head wound after coming on as a substitute during Tuesday night's Capital One Cup win at Millwall, but should be in contention.

Fellow forwards Shaun Batt (calf) and Kevin Lisbie (hamstring) are set to miss out again, having been absent against their former club in midweek.

Boss Martin Allen must decide whether to recall Gash, Bondz N'Gala and Mauro Vilhete, who started the opening-day defeat at Leyton Orient, or stick with the side which saw off Millwall.

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth could revert back to the side that recorded a 3-0 victory in their season-opener against York after shuffling his pack for the Capital One Cup in midweek.

Ainsworth made three changes for Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Fulham, with Aaron Pierre, Luke O'Nien and Paul Hayes all making way.

Midfielder Ryan Sellers is vying for a place in the starting XI after coming off the bench in both of Wanderers' games this term following his recovery from a dead leg.

Jason Banton is also in contention to play some part after stepping off the bench on Tuesday night.
