Holmes blow for Bees

Barnet will be without Ricky Holmes when they host Rochdale.

The five-goal striker has been ruled out for the rest of the season following a recurrence of a foot injury.

Fellow forward Steve Kabba (knee) and back-up goalkeeper Liam O'Brien (groin) are also on the long-term injured list.

But defender Bondz N'Gala should be fit despite being stretchered off against York last weekend.

The Stevenage loanee came on for his debut as a late substitute only to promptly go off again with a head injury, but aside from a few stitches he is fine.

Dani Lopez, an unused sub against York, hopes to make his debut having also joined from Stevenage while fellow striker Jamal Lowe has joined non-league Boreham Wood on a month's loan.

Rochdale will once again be without Bobby Grant and Peter Cavanagh.

Forward Grant serves the third game of a four-match ban, while midfielder Cavanagh continues to struggle with a calf problem.

"He's had a pain killing injection into his calf but he'll probably be fit enough to train with us next week," said manager Keith Hill on Rochdale's official website.

New signings Ritchie Jones and Michael Rose were named on the bench for last weekend's 1-0 win over Torquay and could push for starts, while Hill is not expecting any further arrivals before the trip to Underhill despite his best efforts.

"It's unlikely but we've got plenty of irons in the fire," he added. "We've got to appreciate the hard work that players have done so far and whether I do or do not recruit it will just be competition for places."
