Burton defender Gavin Hoyte sidelined for Hartlepool's visit

Luckless defender Gavin Hoyte will miss Barnet's League Two clash with Hartlepool on Saturday after suffering an injury during his first match in nine months.

Hoyte hobbled out of the Bees' 2-2 midweek draw at Newport County with a hamstring problem - his big comeback game after serious knee ligament trouble.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce remains a doubt after missing the last two matches with a knee injury.

James Pearson and Michael Gash are both expected to miss out again due to knee concerns.

Hartlepool boss Craig Hignett will be back in the dugout after completing his touchline ban, and he has no fresh injury problems to contend with.

Central defenders Rob Jones and Matthew Bates are both closing on on returns after recovering from hip and bone bruising injuries, although Saturday's game is likely to come too soon.

Striker Brad Fewster will be missing once again as he undergoes further treatment for a hamstring problem.

Full-back Carl Magnay is a long-term absentee after having reconstructive surgery following a cruciate ligament injury.
