Nurse misses Barnet shift

Barnet will be without Jon Nurse for the visit of Bradford.

The striker starts a three-match ban after he was sent off during the New Year's Day defeat by Aldershot.

Player boss Edgar Davids missed out against the Shots with a shoulder injury and although he is close to being fit, a return at Rotherham in a week seems more likely.

Fellow midfielder John Oster was brought off with 20 minutes to go but the move was only precautionary following his recent spell out injured so he should be involved again.

Adam Thompson could make his debut in defence after signing from Watford on a one-month loan deal.

Strikers Collins John (hernia), Ishmail Kamara (shoulder) and Steve Kabba (knee) remain on the sidelines.

The Bees will kick off one point and one place outside the drop zone in League Two.

Defender Carl McHugh is expected to return to action for Bradford.

McHugh has missed the last three games with a calf injury but could feature due to the expected absence of fellow defender James Meredith.

Meredith is struggling with the virus that forced him out of the action in the goalless draw at Morecambe on New Year's Day and will be assessed on Friday.

Striker Ross Hannah is another player currently feeling unwell, while winger Garry Thompson is definitely out due to minor knee ligament damage, which could keep him sidelined for 10 days.

Nahki Wells is hoping to return to the starting line-up after battling with illness over the Christmas period.

The 15-goal forward appeared at the start of the second half at Morecambe, while Kyel Reid, back from a long-term groin injury, is hoping to return to the starting line-up.
