Michael Gash scores winner for Barnet as they beat Stevenage

Substitute Michael Gash scored the winner as Barnet twice came from behind to beat Stevenage 3-2.

Full-back Fraser Franks put the visitors ahead in the 11th minute, heading into the top right corner from close range after Charlie Lee had nodded Steven Schumacher's right-wing corner back across goal.

Barnet levelled in the 48th minute when Bondz N'Gala slotted home right-footed after the ball had broken loose in the Boro box.

Parity did not last long though as Tom Hitchcock nodded Stevenage back in front two minutes later following Schumacher's free-kick and another Lee header across goal.

Aaron McLean put the hosts back on level terms for a second time when he controlled John Akinde's 63rd-minute centre before powerfully striking his first Barnet goal into the bottom left corner.

Akinde then had a close-range volley deflected narrowly over before Barnet left-back Elliott Johnson was only shown a yellow card when he brought down Hitchcock as the forward raced towards goal.

Striker Gash, a 57th-minute replacement for Sam Togwell, ended his side's six-game winless run when he tapped in at the back post 12 minutes from time after Stevenage goalkeeper Jesse Jorenen could only parry Akinde's centre.
