Accrington Stanley back to winning ways with 2-1 triumph at Barnet

Sean McConville grabbed the decisive goal as Accrington returned to winning ways with a 2-1 success at Barnet.

The midfielder struck in the 62nd minute for Stanley, who had won four in a row before last week's loss to Oxford, after Barnet striker Michael Gash had cancelled out Sam Togwell's own goal.

Accrington striker Billy Kee saw his 20-yard effort tipped over the crossbar by Bees goalkeeper Max Crocombe in the early stages while Stanley midfielder Matt Crooks fired narrowly wide from distance.

The visitors made the breakthrough in the 22nd minute when Josh Windass broke free on the left and his centre was turned into his own net by Bees midfielder Togwell.

Gash, the Sky Bet League Two player of the month for September, fired under the body of goalkeeper Jason Mooney following Mauro Vilhete's through-ball to level 12 minutes later.

McConville then claimed the winner, racing on to Kee's pass before firing a low shot across goal which went in off the left post.

Barnet defender Bira Dembele wasted a free header from a corner in the fourth minute of stoppage time as his side slipped to a third straight defeat.
