Barnet 0-3 Torquay: Match Report

12 February 2011 17:39
Pulis off in Bees defeat Lathanial Rowe-Turner's first career goal set Torquay on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win at 10-man Barnet. The former Leicester youngster fired the Gulls in front in the 25th minute before Bees debutant Anthony Pulis saw red for a nasty tackle on Chris Zebroski. Strikers Billy Kee and Zebroski then secured their second win on the spin with goals in the final 15 minutes. Torquay made the breakthrough when Rowe-Turner finished smartly past Jake Cole from 10 yards. The Bees' task was made harder three minutes later when Pulis clattered into Zebroski from behind and was sent off by referee Peter Quinn. But the Gulls were lucky to keep their numerical advantage 10 minutes after the break when Craig Stanley hauled down Izale McLeod when he appeared to be the last man but was only booked. Five minutes later Mark Marshall drove past Rowe-Turner but his 18-yard shot flew wide of Scott Bevan's goal. Kee gave his side a cushion in the 75th minute when he fired beyond Cole before Zebroski broke into the box in injury-time and kept his cool from 15 yards to seal it.
