Adomah rejects Bees offer

Barnet winger Albert Adomah has turned down a contract which would have made him the highest-paid player in the history of the Underhill club.

The 21-year-old's current deal runs out next summer and a host of Championship clubs are keen to take Adomah away from the Bees.

Chairman Tony Kleanthous told the club's official website: "Although Albert has made it clear that he wants to move on, relations between the club and the player remain amicable.

"We respect his decision and reluctantly accept his position.

"There is obviously a lot of interest in him and his stated decision to want to go could lead to a bidding war in January.

"While this may be seen as a blow to our aspirations, we wish to make it clear that manager Ian Hendon will be given money to strengthen the squad if Adomah moves on."
