Spurs rumours please Hleb

Out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder Aleksander Hleb has said he is happy with the media rumours that are linking him with a move to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

The 29-year-old enjoyed a loan spell at Stuttgart last term after slipping down Pep Guardiola's pecking order and, despite featuring for Spurs' north London rivals Arsenal in the past, is pleased with the reports as he seeks first-team football.

"I have a contract with Barcelona and I must respect that, but I heard about the link with Tottenham Hotspur and I think they are a great club," he said.

"I appreciate their interest and we will see what happens in the future."
