Lionel Messi has reassured Barcelona fans that the intends to remain at the ailing club despite several reports linking him with moves to England and Italy.
The Catalan club are expected to make wholesale changes to their coaching and playing staff in the summer following a second trophyless season.
But the Argentina forward still sees his future with Barca despite reported interest from AC Milan and Chelsea.
"I have never thought about leaving Barcelona," claimed Messi.
"I do not know what the rest of my team-mates will do, but I want to stay here."
Speaking earlier in the week, sporting director Txiki Begiristain admitted several leading players were likely to be offloaded this summer.
Ronaldinho, Deco, Lilian Thuram, Gianluca Zambrotta and Rafael Marquez have all been linked with possible departures.
