Krkic welcomes Ibra departure

Barcelona starlet Bojan Krkic has welcomed the club's decision to loan Zlatan Ibrahimovic to AC Milan.

Krkic, 20, believes he will be given more of a first-team chance following the season-long loan departure of the Sweden striker back to Italy after just one season in La Liga.

"Without Ibrahimovic my minutes will increase, not only for me but for everyone because there are fewer forwards here," he said.

"Zlatan is a high-level player and it would have been more complicated if he had stayed.

"I prefer to focus on me, trust my abilities and the opportunities I will have here."

Krkic made 23 league appearances as the Catalan club were crowed Spanish champions for the second successive time last season.
