Keita told to rest

Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita has been ordered to spend a period on the sidelines due to an ongoing knee problem.

He sustained a knock during Barca's 4-2 victory against Real Mallorca on Saturday and Nou Camp officials want him to pull out of Mali's World Cup qualifier with Ghana this weekend.

After undergoing tests, club doctors advised a rest period of ten days and, with Mali unable to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa next year, he is not expected to travel for the game.
