Guardiola keen on Arshavin

Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola has given his backing to the club's attempt to sign Russia star Andrei Arshavin.
The 27-year-old playmaker has been linked with several leading clubs in Spain and England after his impressive form as Russia reached the semi-finals at Euro 2008.
Barcelona have already approached Zenit St Petersburg over a potential transfer and new coach Guardiola has endorsed the move.
"All the players that we have been linked with are high calibre," he said.
"Arshavin is having an extraordinary European Championship and he is one of the players that we are following.
"If one day he becomes a Barcelona player then we will talk further about him."
