Barcelona boss Josep Guardiola was delighted that his side consolidated their grip at the top of La Liga table following another victory at the weekend.

His table-topping outfit clinched a 3-1 success at Deportivo La Coruna thanks to Lionel Messi's double and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's strike and he believes his star-studded team were well worthy of the three points.

He said: "Deportivo only had one real chance. We did not deserve to concede the goal before half-time.

"I am very happy with the second-half performance.

"Deportivo did well to restrict us down the middle, but we dominated the game in a difficult stadium."
