Chygrynskiy to join Barca

Dmytro Chygrynskiy will be unveiled as a Barcelona player on Monday just 48 hours after playing against the Spanish giants for Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 22-year-old Ukraine defender was part of the Shakhtar side which lost 1-0 to the European champions in Friday's Super Cup in Monaco.

A deal to take him to the Camp Nou was rumoured to have been agreed in the build-up to the game and Chygrynskiy is now looking forward to playing for the La Liga giants.

"I am very fortunate to be able to join Barcelona," he said. "I hope to learn and become an important member of this great team.

"I spoke to (coach) Pep Guardiola after the final and he told me that he wanted me to start as soon as possible."
