Chygrynskiy seals Barca move

Ukraine defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy has completed his 25million euros move from Shakhtar Donetsk to European champions Barcelona.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract at the Camp Nou, having played his last game for Shakhtar in the 1-0 European Super Cup defeat by Barca on Friday evening.

Chygrynskiy told his new club's official website: "I am very pleased that Barcelona maintained their interest in buying me right up until the end.

"I always hoped that I would move, but I could not do too much in case I offended my club.

"The negotiations were very difficult and at times they even reached breaking point.

"Finally, Barca's interest bore fruit and I am able to fulfil my dream and join them."
