Barcelona set up Gdansk friendly

Spanish champions Barcelona announced on Wednesday that their first pre-season friendly will be against Lechia Gdansk in Poland on Saturday, July 20.

The game will be played at the PGE Arena in the Baltic coast city of Gdansk, where Spain played all of their group games at Euro 2012.

It will be the first of five games that the Catalans will play ahead of the start of the 2013-14 campaign, with matches against Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich on July 24, Norwegian side Valerenga in Oslo on July 27, Thailand in Bangkok on August 7 and a Malaysian league select in Kuala Lumpur on August 10 to follow.
