Sergi Roberto's goal deep into five minutes of stoppage time saw Barcelona complete the most remarkable Champions League comeback as they defeated Paris St Germain 6-1 at the Nou Camp to overturn a 4-0 first leg deficit and book a place in the quarter-finals.

After their capitulation in France, Luis Enrique's men were looking to make history and also avoid their earliest exit from the competition in a decade.

Barcelona took the lead after just three minutes through a header from Luis Suarez be fore an own goal from Layvin Kurzawa made it 2-0 at half-time.

Lionel Messi's penalty five minutes into the second half had the Nou Camp rocking, only for Edinson Cavani to score what looked to be a crucial away goal just after the hour mark.

There was, however, a dramatic finale when, with 88 minutes on the clock, Neymar netted a superb free-kick before then levelling the tie with a last-gasp penalty.

With goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen having joined the attack, Neymar lofted the ball into a crowded penalty area in the closing moments of stoppage-time.

Roberto timed his run to perfection as he volleyed past Kevin Trapp to spark wild celebrations on the Barcelona bench and in the stands, while PSG watched on in disbelief.

There was no such drama in Wednesday night's other tie, which saw Borussia Dortmund beat Benfica 4-0 to ease into the last eight with a hat-trick from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The striker, who missed a penalty in the 1-0 first-leg defeat in Portugal, made amends by levelling the tie early on and then netted a third on the hour mark after Christian Pulisic's smart effort.

Aubameyang completed his treble with five minutes remaining, taking his goal tally for the season to 30 in the process, with a close-range finish.
