Barcelona believe they have won the race to sign Brazilian superstar Neymar – beating off interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea, according to talkSPORT.

Barcelona are confident they have beaten off interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea to sign the Brazilian – having reportedly paid Brazilian side Santos 8million pound - just to get the first option to sign the 20 year old when he does decide to leave Brazil for European football.

Chelsea, Madrid and City will all continute to keep an eye on the situation regarding Neymar depsite Barcelona's over confidence of such a deal – although the player himself says no deal is finalised with either side.

'Im happy here in Brazil', he said.

'Im happy at Santos. I have a dream of playing in Europe, but its still not the right moment.

At just the age of 20 a Neymar is arguably one of the most sought after player's around Europe currently, and is often linked with major money moves across the biggest teams in the continent.

Although undoubtedly gifted technically wise – Neymar posseses a lightweight frame which he may struggle with playing in The Barclays Premier League. A move to La Liga seems more likely – where fellow 'little man' Lionel Messi currently dominates.

Neymar and Lionel Messi would no doubt be the most lethal strike forces in Europe – it may all depend on when, and where the Brazilian wants to move.
