Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain has confirmed that he has warned Yaya Toure's agent following a succession of stories in the media.
The Ivory Coast star is currently out of favour at Camp Nou and his representative, Dimitri Seluk, has expressed his concerns regarding his client's international future ahead of the World Cup finals in South Africa next summer.
He called for the club to either play him or allow him to leave in January and after talks with Begiristain, it is thought the matter has now been resolved.
Begiristain said: "I have contacted the agent and our position is clear.
"The most important thing is Toure. I am satisfied with his performances and the dialogue between coach and player.
"In football, interviews are normal for the players, but it is unusual to hear interviews with the agents."
