Barcelona have agreed a deal with Palmeiras to sign Brazilian defender Henrique.
The 21-year-old will join the Catalan club on a five-year deal subject to passing a medical at the Camp Nou.
However, Henrique will not join up with Barcelona straight away after they revealed the promising centre-half will spend next season on loan in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Henrique Adriano Buss will arrive in Barcelona from Palmeiras to undergo a medical prior to his incorporation in the squad.
"Should he pass the medical, he will sign a contract linking him to FC Barcelona for the next five seasons, the first of which he will play on loan at German club Bayer Leverkusen.
"The cost of the operation between FC Barcelona and Palmeiras is 8million euros, plus 2million more depending on FC Barcelona's ability to qualify for the Champions League this season once the player's loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen has ended."
Meanwhile, Barca are poised to complete the sale of defender Presas Oleguer to Dutch side Ajax.
