Arda happy to stick with Barca

New Barcelona signing Arda Turan has rejected reports he will join another club on a six-month loan deal.

Arda cannot play in an official game for Barca until January 2016 due to a FIFA transfer ban imposed on the Catalans for breaching rules regarding the transfer of underage players.

Reports in Spain claim the Turkish midfielder could be loaned to former club Galatasaray until January, something Arda has vehemently denied.

"It's going to be hard not to play for six months," he told El Mundo Deportivo. "But the important thing is that I will play for Barca.

"I always dreamed of playing for Barca.

"I will train until I can make my debut in January and I will help the team win every possible trophy."

Barca signed Arda from Atletico Madrid for 32million euros on Monday, making the Turkey captain their second summer signing, following last month's arrival of Aleix Vidal from Sevilla.

The 28-year-old Arda has signed a five-year deal with Barca, who completed a treble last term.

Barca won the Primera Division, Copa del Rey and Champions League under coach Luis Enrique in 2014-15.

"I wanted to play at Barcelona, the biggest club in the world," Arda said. "It's a dream come true to play with (Lionel) Messi, (Andres) Iniesta and Neymar.

"They are part of the best team in the world."

Arda moved to Spain in 2011 to join Atletico from Galatasaray.

He made 127 appearances for the Rojiblancos and helped Atletico win the La Liga title, the Europa League and a Copa del Rey in his four years at the Vicente Calderon.
