Zbedel set for Aachen move

Bayer Leverkusen veteran Thomas Zdebel is poised to team up with ambitious 2 Bundesliga outfit Alemannia Aachen on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Aachen are striving to return to the top-flight and former Poland international Zbedel would offer some much needed experience in their ranks.

The 36-year-old started his career at Rot-Weiss Essen before penning a deal at Koln.

A move to Belgium with Lierse followed then he switched to Turkish club Genclerbirligi.

He returned to Germany with Bochum before joining Bayer Leverkusen in January 2009 and he is set to move on after failing to win a first-team place under coach Jupp Heynckes.
