Voller disappointed by draw

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller admitted the weekend draw which sent his side to the top of the Bundesliga table felt more like a defeat.

Bayer moved to the summit despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Schalke following two late goals from the home side at the Veltins Arena.

"We're really disappointed," said Voller. "We played brilliantly in the first half, but then failed to use our chances on the break and didn't pass and move as well.

"When you play against Schalke you've always got to expect that they'll come back at you and play long balls.

"Of course it hurts and feels like a defeat."
