Leverkusen take Colombian starlet on loan

Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen signed Colombian midfielder Michael Ortega on loan for a year on Wednesday after he sparkled in the Under-20 world championships.
Ortega, who began his career at Deportivo Cali before moving on to Mexican side Atlas Guadalajara last season, has been marked out as star of the future at senior level by Leverkusen.
"Michael was sensational in the Under-20 world championships. He is a huge talent for the future," remarked Bayer owner Wolfgang Holzhauser.
Leverkusen are presently in 12th place after just two matches and are away at VfB Stuttgart this Saturday.
