Brechin City clinched a play-off place in style with a deserved victory over Ayr United, who slipped from top spot.The home side wasted a fourth minute penalty when Charlie King hammered his spot-kick against the post. Ayr skipper Chris Aitken twice went close then Brechin's Rory McAllister had a drive saved by Stephen Grindlay.
