Ayr United kept up the Second Division title chase as they comfortably swept aside 10-man East Fife.United had to wait until the 52nd minute when Mark Roberts hooked the ball into the top corner after good work by substitute Kenny Connolly. Two minutes later Connolly pounced on a Scott Walker header to add the second with a spectacular overhead kick.
