Ayr will head for the the Second Division play-offs with a confidence-boosting victory over Peterhead.Ayr went 2-0 up in the second half through David Gormley's ferocious shot from 17 yards and Kenny Connolly's headed goal at the back post. Graeme Sharp rounded the goalkeeper to pull one back and then levelled on 82 minutes with a glorious 20-yard strike. But the visitors took all three points with a superb free-kick from Scott Agnew five minutes from the end.
