Ayr without Brian Gilmour against Forfar

Brian Gilmour will not be available for Ayr in their League One fixture against Forfar following his dismissal against Dunfermline last weekend.

Ross Docherty continues to be out with an ankle issue, while Jamie Adams is also on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Manager Ian McCall said: "We were two goals up at East End Park and lost however there are positives that we can take. When it was 11 v 11 we were on top but Brian's sending off and subsequent penalty changed things.

"If we can play like we did when the sides were even we will do well against a Forfar side who have dangerous attackers and who will improve under Gary Bollan."

Forfar are without Michael Travis who has a knee injury with manager Bollan delaying naming his team to give Iain Campbell as much time as possible to recover from a groin issue.

Steven Craig has shaken off a calf strain he picked up on his debut against Peterhead last Saturday and should be available.

Bollan said: "We know that we need to start winning and moving up the table. I believe that we have the squad available to do that and hopefully things will click together against Ayr.

"Steven and another new signing, Andy Ryan, have scored three times in two games and we need other players to chip in as well."
