Craig Moore ruled out for Ayr with a head injury

Ayr United will be missing Craig Moore due to a head injury for the Labrokes Championship clash with Dunfermline.

Jamie Adams is recalled after missing last Saturday's 2-0 defeat from Falkirk and manager Ian McCall said: "We played well at Falkirk, in fact we played better than we did when we defeated Hibs but we made a mistake late on that gave them the opening goal.

"We will look to build on the performance and get the win that would take us more comfortably into a mid-table position.

"We were strong rivals to Dunfermline in the first half of last season and won at their place a year ago. It would be great to repeat that success."

Dunfermline manager Allan Johnston has a full squad to choose from as he looks for his Pars to pick up another three points after last weekend's 4-3 success over St Mirren.

Johnston said: "It was good to end a disappointing run of results with a good win. We dominated large parts of the game but made life difficult for ourselves by losing a couple of bad goals.

"We showed character to come from behind and we did it the right way by continuing to pass the ball. We need to stick to these principals again at Ayr as they have played really well in their last couple of games."
