Paul Maxwell's own goal saw Ayr seal their first victory of the season as they beat Dumbarton at Somerset Park.It was enough to give the hosts the win midway through the first half as he diverted a corner that was not cleared past his own goalkeeper. [LNB]Scott McLaughlin nearly doubled the hosts' advantage shortly after half-time, but keeper Stephen Grindley was equal to the 20-yard effort.
